Anita Bacha, an expert in intercountry adoption, is also an inspirational writer and poet. She is grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren. She lives in the island of Mauritius. She travels a lot to spend valuable time with her grandchildren. They live with their mom and dad in other parts of the world. A talented story teller, she marvels them with her ingenious bedside stories. Her multi-cultural extended family and her work in intercountry adoption has, to a great extent, inspired her to write stories for children. The Princess and the Crow is her first published story book for children. She looks forward to publish many more story books for all the children of the world.
A lovely princess lived on a tropical island in the midst of a vast lagoon. The princess was named Keyla. Her castle was a hut on the beach. Beautiful and colourful birds were the subjects of her kingdom, where exotic fruits and flowers grew in abundance.
The princess spent her time with the birds, playing with flowers and eating fruits.
One day, a crow fell from the sky and landed in the lap of the princess. The bird was wounded. The princess nursed him and looked after him. He recovered. Suddenly, he decided to leave the princess.
The princess was heartbroken. Who was that ungrateful crow? Where did he come from? Why did he want to go? What will the princess do? Will she try to keep him or let him go?
Let us find out together the story of the princess and the crow.
